Wasnt happy with the flow, with the valve the "T" piece ended up below the top of the cannister so I removed it

What mm size is the blue pvc pipe, and under what name do they sell it, is it maybe "high pressure pipe" or something?

The dark blue and almost grey blue pipe fittings are normally higher pressure application pvc... and also more expensive. Schedule can be class 6, 9 or 12... which is the maximum pressure rating it can handle under normal operation.

We use this stuff to build geeky stuff like potato cannons (or spud cannons as they are refered to also). :blushing:

    2 things to say!

First, I cant believe that ZEE are coming? nice bollywood article there!! LOL.

Secondly, the problem that I find with the pvc clear pipe is that it stays clear for 1 day. After that it is white as snow and this always happens and looks kinda nasty after a while. I am running a piece of pipe in my tank as a spray bar currently and would like to change it to a glass tube or something that wont change colour!

Anyone in CT help me out with a contact for glass tubing perhaps, or have seen it around?

@HEIHACHI, Hows the plumbing coming along? and how is the flow as compared to individual pipes?

Haha yes zee is coming, when I posted the pic I knew I was going to get a comment! All the clear tubing is hidden away although. I must admit the blue PVC pipe is a bit of an eyesore. Gavin those spud guns are hectic! Seen a few YouTube videos where guys take it to another level.

@Chongkie if anything. The flow is a lot stronger! I reckon the 25mm inlet generates enough pressure to sustain both cannisters

Ok, but have you tested with one on and one off?

I'm interested in the design, because I want to mod my sumps return to something similar. hehe...

I have and I can tell you the valves play a big role in this. So long as the valve shuts completely there is still enogh pressure to sustain the other can

We have a spud compitition every year with the Round Table 41 guys in Sasolburg... and we finally won last year with a new record of 288m. We already have a new design... and estimates are that we are targetting the 350m line. But we have a number of restrictions also:It has to made entirely of PVC or plastic, non-compressed and only use domestic earosols like hairspray, spray and cook, deoderant and so on. No heavy industrial gas mixtures... which I might say is a good thing considering some the stuff we have seen with previous compititions. LOL

(Sorry, I know that has nothing to do with the thread... but in any case...)
