    Hiyya

I have a Malawi tank that is getting too crowded. Fish are all beautiful and I've had them since they were small.

I would like to find homes for 2 x N.Livingstonii (about 10-12cm) and I have an adult male and 2 female M.Auratus (about 8-10cm) that can be re-homed. The male is trying to breed.

    I am in Somerset West.

    Hi TracyB1
I would love the M.Auratus as I already have one female but just smaller one. I am trying to stick to mbuna as I hear that keeping a single group is better.
    I live near Tygervalley.
BTW - wht size is your tank?
    Cheers Helene

    Hi Helene
Yes it's true, they can be aggressive, so it's best to keep mbuna only together.
My tank is 3ft, and really overcrowded at the moment. I have about 8 auratus in the tank and the fully developed male is challenging the more juvenile male. Then I have around 5 females. They have been very active with their breeding rituals but there are so many fish in the tank, it's difficult. The babies are eaten before I even see them! And I don't have space for a breeding tank. You're welcome any time to come and have a look and take fish if you want to. I am in Somerset West. Do you ever come out this way? Tracy
By the way, what size is your tank?

Hi Tracy, my current tank is also 3 foot but am prepping a 1.4m (4.5 foot) which should give them all much more space. I am trying to keep only mbunas. If you are not in a terrible I can try to make a plan on saturday for the auratas. I don't usually come out that way but what the heck it is just around the corner compared to JHB :). PM me your contact details and address.
    Cheers
    Helene
    PS ... and thanks

Awesome, that's great. I love mbunas. Only wish I could keep more tanks!! You may see something else you'd like as well, although there are a few I won't part with :)
I'll PM my details to you now...
