Cleaning thick water/salt marks off glass

have a look at bar keepers friend. difficult to get in SA, and kinda expensive, but seems to be worth it!!!

Such a hard day at work today... I think working on the tank tonight will be a great stress relief...

 

i use pool acid very sparingly, it WILL lower your ph so have a test kit and ph buffer handy.also on a 5ft and 6x3ft, wipe the marks with a cloth of tiny amounts of pool acid let it fizz wipe of before it touches water column. also wen done do a massive water change, to prevent or reduce the scale build up lower water temp. i have been using borehole water my whole life. it can be a pain in the 4$$

 

Microfibre cloth and Hermit Clean (for cleaning hermit crab enclosures) little to no elbow grease required
