    Hi all,

Bought this setup last year from @Sean J last year, brought it home and put it away for 'future use'. I have since chickened out of trying the CO2 thing, ad so it's up for sale again.

    R 1500

9.5KG CO2 Bottle about half full and a SAGA dual guage Reg with solenoid.

Considering I never got the project off the ground, I may not be able to answer any questions immediately, please bear with me.

PM me if you're interested. First come first serve, must be willing to collect from West Rand, or at least meet me halfway.

Sure Sarf... Would prefer not to post - it's going to be insanely heavy, and I'm not sure how safe it would be. But let's see if anyone in JHB takes up the offer - if not it's yours.

Not sure I'd be willing to 'meet you halfway' on this one ;) That's, what, Colesberg?

    Aaah :( Sorry @f-fish!

Yeah, I am inclined to think that posting a half-full CO2 bottle of this size could be dangerous. I was freaking out just driving it home when I first got it. Buried it in my boot under absolutely anything that I could get to fit on top of it. *overkill*

I can understand the dangers in an aircraft, air pressure fluctuating, but is it dangerous in a vehicle? Is CO2 not stable an not flammable?

Courier it sis. Im sure youve been in touch with a few couriers in your work. Just weigh is, measure size and get a quote. Even if sarf needs to pay 600 for courier, you still getting good price.

Id buy it at the drop of a hat. Actually, i woulda bought it from slagter when he first sold it. But alas... baby on the way makes the wife nervous with money spending.

@TomK, I think the concern is more about handling. You can't really have this thing rolling around carelessly in the back of a DHL van. The guages / regulators / valves on the top can be delicate, if mishandled. Surely, if these parts are damaged, there is the danger of the bottle bursting?
Ideally, would be nice to find a local buyer.

If you need to courier, we will have to take the valves off at the top.

I took that for granted. Yes, I would be nervous as well if I take a shortcut.

How about selling separate? What does these things cost individually. I am not in the market yet, just curious. Will buy it one day from the person(s) you sell to! hehe

Regulator alone will be around R1500 - 9.5kg .. probably 700 + gas (I have seen new 2kg for R1000 full at a LFS recently).

Ah, there Is the ol setup!! LOL!

Anyway, it's a 5kg bottle. But still a great price. The price of the reg alone was R1500 when I bought it. Never mind the cost of the bottle.

    Good luck with the sale!

Ah, 5KG bottle, sorry about that - couldn't find the size on the bottle, so just took the specs from your original sale post from last year. :) Looks like it will be going to Cape Town, regardless.

@Henk Hugo & @sarf, I don't want any tension here :boxing: but Henk's arrangement is just a matter of convenience. Sorry sarf :dontknow:

Henk, could you PM me with your contact details / email addy so we can make the arrangements?

    Thanks - done deal.

For good prices on CO2... contact @Sean J , a sponsor of our site!
