Crimping Ferrules water proof?

    @shihr that is an aluminium ferrule, it WILL corrude in your tank, not to mention the other chemicals used to keep it bright 'n shiny.
    Rather go to your local electrical shop and ask for a IP65 gland. You then dont have to use epoxy as it has a rubber seal.

    thanks.. cos the shop attendant couldnt tell me what metal it was.. i know alunimium is bad for fish and plants..oh well 16 bucks down the drain.. well that is untill i find a use for it in another DIY project :p

    thanks for the tip though.. will take a look for a IP65 :)
