I want some Hornwort cuttings to test something. Preferably not the floating kind. (You get those you plant right?)

I won't pay for it because I think trading cuttings should be free and I'll also give some of mine for free. I have some cuttings that I can swap for Hornwort. PM me if you are interested.

@Razer2007 my understanding is that the hornwort is floating but can just be planted as well, like its the same thing! i could be wrong .... i have tons of the (floating kind), which i have also planted.

Uhmm Razer....sure some folks will help you out....but rather fix your cyano problem first before offering some clippings from your aquarium....

BTW - Hornworth is Hornworth - you do not get a floating and a rooted kind - they all the same and can be bought from most LFS's for bout R2.50 a length...

It is the same thing, you can plant it or let it float! I used a stone with a hole in it to keep mine grounded.

    mm k.

The cutting I'm referring to is actually in my QT/plant tank, but I'm not sure if there will be an outbreak too. I completely forgot about the risk. Sorry Azure.

I know somebody here who has some floating. So can just plant them and it will root?

A useless thread again . Please delete.

no need to delete.....Hornworth doesnt really root, but you can plant it in sbstrate to create a bushy plant.... plant idividual stems about an inch apart in grid like patterne - will soon create a big bush of it...

Parrow is a bit too far for me to just get some plants, but thank you :)
