    @hein24 thank you for the kind words. Of this initial spawn, I will retain a few young for myself and then the balance will be relocated to new tanks. The parents of these guys have a new batch of fry latched on again so let's see how many of these make it. I will then have more discus available for sale in future.

    @KribLover fortunately my discus set up is at my place of work, so I'm able to feed as often throughout the day as I can. It has made it easier for me to grow out my discus as I've been quite disciplined to adhere to a strict feeding regime on all my discus. Weekends are a bit of a pain, and so it's really only the odd Sunday that I don't get as many feeds in as possible, but for the rest of the time, I pretty much camp out with my fish, lol.

    Bro you have a discus factory going there... This only tells me one thing your tanks are in pristine condition and your fish are very happy. Well done!

    Yeah definately - congratz, they are impressive! I must admit I am battling with mine, but I think it's more a tank issue than a fish issue.

    Thanks for the kind words @dash @hein24 @cknipe

    In all honesty discus are sensitive breeders and one needs to make sure you have all parameters spot on for them to breed, nuture their young and get the babies to grow out. I wish it was as easy as saying i have a discus factory on the go here, but that is the furtherest from the truth. This pair that have fry now latched on have only given one successful spawn ( if calling 26 juveniles is successful ) then had 2 failed attempts before they got it right to the stage where they are now raising another spawn.

    All the guys that have bred discus will only tell you of the success and never the failure, so let me tell you from experience, there is always a lot more failed attempts at spawning than what one realizes. So to those who are struggling to get their fish to successfully raise spawns, just hang in there and keep perservering.

    Real Beauties Andrew. Few month back I went to a Discus show. Ine of the jury-members was Georg Stendker. He took some of his fish.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG] like yours more hahaha.

    @DoubleDutch

    Wow, thanks for the compliment. I must admit, im also not a huge fan of Stendker discus although i know they are good quality. Dirk and I recently obtained some parasite-free discus from another German breeder, and his fish are WOW!!! I will at some stage start a new thread here on their progression.

    Funny. I was asked to go to the show by an member of the UK-forum, showing two of his fish. He didn't like the Stendker ones either hahahaha. Mostly cause of their shape !!! But indeed the fish are healthy and well taken care of!!

    I have Stendkers, so I would have to sa I am a fan :bigsmile:
    They seem to be hardyish, decent quality fish.
    My only critisism is that their colour range is a bit limited.

    @pHish_man, what don't you like about them?
