Yeah, and he is a big boytjie. About 16cm length without tail.

Interesting development going on here. He and a female RSS spawned Sun afternoon and they going to spawn again this afternoon. But there is a female Leopard that is trying to get in on the action and is doing her thing on the same cone.

Just love the way Dirk's Alencers have integrated so well into this group. There are 4 different age groups in this tank.

Nice!!! Is this there second spawn? Maybe its time you put them in there own love nest. If they don't eat there eggs out of nervousness from being in such a big community tank then the other will probably do so. They will probably spawn again in 10 days time so that should give them time to settle in there new tank. Have you got one ready for them or do you still need to set one up?

Yip, their second spawn. Last one was past sunday night, 5 days ago. Dirk is coaching me through the process so all so new to me. But this pair has created a super bond so we will see what happens. The last batch of eggs were not well laid ( all over the show - young fish ) but at least the male is fertile as by Monday afternoon there were quite a few that had gone black. They defended their eggs fiercely but unfortunately by Tues everything was gone.

Yip, have one of my large cubes all ready for the next round.

All finished and now the parents are taking turns fanning and guarding their eggs.

    Lets see what happens

Nice going There I have a pair that always spanws in a community tank when the eggs for black and get to wriggler stage I remove the rest of the fish ,I've sucessfully raised 2 battches of babies like that so I'm sure if the eggs gets to that stage it can work.

All of the best they looking awesome
