no ,but you know something ,neons are the choice of fish for testing ,i have ashoal of 30 not one fatality ,my tank has got snails every wre that magicaly appeared and benificial bacterial colonies growing on my glass and stones

oh and who ever got offended by the 'fossil' thing dont get moody it was ment to be an complement

 

Rams horns, they came in with your plants, they can get out of control, better watch that.

wel i think its called a worm its like a round whitsh thing if you touch it it hides

Also, i would rather go with bolivian rams, those blue rams can be finicky.

Hmmm... worms is not bacteria. Worms is a parasite. Bacteria is MICROSCOPIC... meaning you cannot see it with your naked eye dude. If you are SEEING things in your filter and on your glass... then I would think you have a slight problem

Heehee... if he thinks keeping rams is finicky... then he really hasn't done his homework on keeping discus!

 

blue rams can definitely be more finicky than discus, trying to save some rams.

I thought I would say nothing but this has been bothering me after reading through this thread so here goes. The people on this forum have got many years of experience and they are only here to help they give free advice and that advice is worth a lifetimes experience take it and use it the lfs are only there to make money well most of them the people here are looking out for both you and your future fishes best interests. They have helped me a lot and I have lots of respect for them. I'm very interested in keeping killifish one day and ill b doing some research here and listening to what they have to say. You may have come across info to the contrary but share it with the group inform others let others learn from your experiences to. Well that's just my 2c

k ,zoom wat do they tell you in the manuals is you can see things growing on your filter media

 

You might see some brown/grey gung in the filter media when you rinse it but definately not worms unless you might have beard algae.
