DIY Canister Filter

    good idea to heat the iron bar to make the hole...drilling the container is not easy...

    my concern with asking about the seal is that if the pump stops or the seal breaks, because of how far down into the tank the intake is, the gravity feed could easily siphon out the tank water onto the floor only leaving the water that is below the intake in the take. please check and test this thoroughly.

    Thanx, but it seals good. the water line is just above the canisters water line. the siphon is hard to start...
    see pic number 4.
