    Hi All,

So a while ago I made a post for "Stand" for my oddysea light units...

So after considering a few options, I settled on copper pipes.

I was first thinking on PVC tubes but was afraid that they would not be able to handle the heat from the lights and would start to bend and warp.

So off to builders I went and got some copper pipe and 2 x 90 degree elbows.

Assembly is easy as all the parts just slips into one another.

I drilled holes through the pipes and the stand and fixed it with small 6mm bolts to the stand.

I'm still not quite finished as I still have to give them a paint job.... was thinking of painting them black.

Below is the picture of the end result:

looks good. but why dont you get endcaps for the pipes? and paint the pipes black? will fit in more nicely, but good design.

@ivan - Yup, gonna get end caps and paint it black hopefully this weekend after the ADA demo at petstop. I mounted them as I was real impatient and wanted to see if it would work. :D

Cant remember what it cost me but wasn't that expensive. Copper was the only thing I could come up with. I didn't want to take square tubing as I have not welded since 1998 and don't have the welding tools anyway.

Brilliant idea! Once it has end caps on and gets some paint will match nicely.

Got my end caps today. Not badly priced at all. Paid R25.20 for 4.

I put in leave tomorrow so hopefully I'll finish up this project then.
