Dankie amal , @FishLover im searching for waliichii as this is one of my fav plants, around here you cant get high tech plants. waliichii is first on the list. For now im growing till the daily wc can stop, then I might get some high tech plants. UG is barely getting by but I do see some new blaartjies uitkom . Also did anyone notice the red on the ambulia ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJwmRonagRU&noredirect=1

Hi maruis. Ekke jaloers. Looking nice. Where did you get the cylinder.
One suggestion. Maybe hide you power head and diffuser behind the rock on the left?

@DerikPelser The HOB is at left, that's my big problem, otherwise I would have removed the ug and made it full planted. The flow is a bit strong, still thinking on a mod for the outlet. I used the flow of the outlet for the diffuser but then its in front of the tank, but ill think of something.. I got the bottle from novamarine, somewhere in CT , I have a contact nm if you need it, its a preowned but very neat, gatevalve was fitted and filled for R350 and shipping was R100 from CT to Oudtshoorn. Thanks @FishLover ill keep in touch, maybe when the wc stop ill pm you. I think the outlet is also the reason the vallis isn't doing so great, I need some great tips on improving her-AND NO<I cannot afford a canister at this point :notrust:

Okey, so after work I started a wc , removed the ug, some was dying and some always floating, lady said she wants HC in its place , also done some work on the vallis as it was too bushed together, id say 8 new plants from the vallis already lekker big. About the hob, what can be done about the outlet, as the flow is too strong and nothing will survive left of the tenk, vallis is blown like a storm and they are away from the outlet. Any ideas?

    Hallo!

Jou tank begin nou baie mooi aankom!

Anyone, about the right side back plant, fast grower, how to trim? I know you cut just below the leave part where the roots begin to grow again, but the lower oart, will that grow as normal again?

    @Marius Swart

    Hygrophila difformis
    Hygrophila coryombrosa 'angustifolia'
    Sunset Hygro
    Rotala rotundifolia

Staurogyne repens,, is this the fast grower right side back and in front middle? also the other fast grower right side front , doesn't this looks like these Mayaca fluviatilis . . im not in a hurry , im taking my time with this as I want to be sure 100%, both way wallicii will be in the tank  Also what carpet plats would most of you go for, the HC does look good aswell as HM, but will hm stay low on the ground?

Well normally if your plants got little pin holes then it is a potassium deficiency.

You will get all sorts of algae in the first 2-3 months until everything in your tank is balanced. How long has this tank been running for with the plants, it is normally best to not dose any ferts for the first few weeks.

It gives the plants time to adapt to your water and also gives them time to settle in to the new tank.
