Thanks @MariaS , i resealed all mu tubs today and so far so good. No leaks. Ill check again in the morning. Also testing a sponge plug for the overflows. I had to go for a triangle shaped very thin sponge else the tub overflows.

I think i should add those little tap fittings on my airpipe to control the flow.

ran my filter thru the night, no leaks so far. walked into the laundry this morning and my glasses fogged up. I should remember to keep 1 window open. it was very humid and warm, which is a good thing (the warm part). so i will not be needing too many heater in summer.
im running 1 300W heater on my sump system feeding 10 tubs and surprised to see the water was at 26c right thru.
i have added my ceramics which have been in my other tank for about a week now and threw in a bit of food to get the cycling process going. I will be adding water from my main tank these evening.
all systems go for moving shrimp this weekend and making space for my awesome Amanos you guys helped me win ;)

See if you can measure the rooms temp. That will give you an idea what temps your tanks will run at without a heater.

i will do that tonight, i did set my sump heater at 28 last night, and things were really warm. i also have a small carpet on the floor, not sure how much that helps with insulation.

Huge update, the tub idea was ok, filtration was decent as i disnt loose any fish, but realises that i need bigger to do better. Shrimp didn't breed so well in my tubs for some reason and also the amount of water loss due to evaporation on that open system was huge. So my experiment wasnt a total failure.

I have now replaced the tubs with 1,5 foot tanks and got me some decent led lights. Tanks have not all been filled up yet but getting there.

I have been limited to 2 tanks patio side by the wife so i went for a 4 foot, sponsored by Barry and another small tank.

This is whatvthe fishroom looks like currently, it will be home to rainbows gouramis and shrimp... a lot of shrimp

Thanks all, @Amakawa, my pumpkins pulled a disapearing act when they were in my tubs, i think they went thru the overflow, i found a few of them yesterday but not great. I will have some hopefully in the next 2 months with yellows as well.

Looks really great, I'm going to use this as an example for my wife that having a fish hobby can be really neat looking... though at this stage SHE'S bought more tanks than I have :p

Are you going to run individual sponge filters for the 4ft tank w/ dividers?

Its actually 5 individual 1,5 foot tanks next to each other, i will be using single sponge filters and probably a heater in every second tank for now
