I've only ever used Scape Complete, and it seems to work really well. Using the recommended dosing can be a bit lean on heavily planted tanks, so i usually double it and do a big water change once per week. Only real gripe is with the bottle - once you get close to the end it doesn't always give you a full dose per pump, as it pulls in a bit of air.

 

Thanks for the note, I'll give it try and se how it goes... What I like about it is that it contains macro and micro nutrients all in one. I have read before that some nutrients shouldn't be dosed at the same time as one weekens the other but I'm not sure how true this is.

 

Yeah, iron in the micro mix and phosphate in the macro mix tend to react with one another and become unavailable to plants.

I had a thread about this when i just joined the forum. I had a discussion with Ferdie (well, he was laying down some knowledge on me, not much from my side) and his suggestion was to start with using a double dose of Scape Complete. Scape Complete is basically just the Tropica Premium Nutrition fert with added vitamin C, so is a tried and tested solution.
