Firstly, my apologies to everyone, i only saw the above posts now..

No, fortunately i didnt have Covid.
Unfortunately, i have Rheumatois Arthritis at quite an advanced stage so ,y immune system fights with me instead of the viruses or bacterial infections i might contract, in fact, it aggravates things
It started 2 years ago with a piece of driftwood i was takng out of the tank to clean and i dropped it on my leg
This infected and went totally septic then that eventually healed after 2 plastic surgeries
Then a year ago was playing with the dogs and one of them scratched me with his paw and same thing happened all over again... 2.5 months in hospital, 3 ops to clean the infection and 2 plastic surgeries..

Spent lockdown 5 in hospital again nearly 3 months with no visitors, that was hell!!
Then to put the cherry on the cake, a month ago, was walking doing some shopping and i broke my hip for no reason so.... spent my birthday in hospital and a hip replacement
Its 4 weeks now, still on crutches, cant bend down or drive but much better, getting there
Whilst in hospital i was told i also needed a stent in my right artery... this out of the blue!!

But, all looking good so far and i would like the thank you all for the kind words

This year has really been hectic to everyone... I hope 2021 is better

I would like to wish you all a peaceful and blessed New Year

On this note. I've been vaccinated yesterday with the first dose

 

Can't wait for it to get more widespread here in SA, though practically everyone i know doesn't want to get it - worried about side effects.

How many doses are needed?

 

Yes most of my friends and family told me I'm crazy for some reason. There is only 2 doses and I'll go on the 5th Feb for my second.

Absolutely no side effects really apart from a mild headache when I'm hungry. None of the people I know who took it has any other side effects to report
