Hi Antfreeze, rather use Seachem Prime much much better product, most of us in here use Seachem Prime.

NO NEVER USE SALT, it is only used for medicinal purposes like when treating ich etc.

@hviviers75: Thanks will get Seachem end of the month, also don't understand why they told me to use salt in my water. You say salt is for treating ICH, well one of my goldies has white spots on his tail fin but not on his body. So would it be safe to say I can treat the water with salt if it is ICH?

salt is a good thi g to add when your fish have bacteria infextions or open wounds. helps to get the nasties out of their intestines. sera is a good brand, i personally like their foods for my fish. but i dont know their chemicals. also seachem prime, seacheam safe is very good. tetra aquasafe is also very good but i cost allot more in the long run than seachem. try and do daily 10% waterchanges for atleast a week

    Update

Found out this morning why my fish where lying on the bottom, my pump had an open wire and was making the water bad. Good news is removed the pump and changed the water fish doing better now. Can't believe I missed this.

Was it a live wire? If so you can be very lucky not to have electricuted yourself

@Ryno: Should have been live as filter was running, but I always unplug all electrical stuff before I clean my tanks. The two goldies are doing much better now. I found it strange as power did not trip at all, It's only when I unplugged the plug that I saw it was turning black and smelling funny(by smelling funny I mean like a burning smell)

Luckly you unplug it before you use it. Would not have been good. Read a few times of live wires in a rank that didnt trip the power
