    thanks for the pics
great looking fish, read that the reds are ment to be the better feeders and grow larger than the golden red tails, crossback and greens.
have you noticed difference in appetite
very interested to see difference in size between your and cesar's in a year and can not wait to see pics when they are all colored up in full glory

Thanks everyone for the compliments... it is beautiful... I can just sit and watch it and loose track of time!!!

Thanks @Broder, I love my flagtail too and such a gentle giant
I battle to take any pictures because he wants attention.
@top dog, thanks... and yes.. Will be nice to see them both grown up and with their full colours developed

At this stage they both eat like little wolves but yes, two days after arrival mine was making her way amongst all the other fish to come and take the food out my hand and she eats a lot!
The other night cesar actually said to me, Mom, look at her tummy!!! dont feed her so much!! But she comes and takes the food!!
Tonight she had 2 big shrimps then she had few crickets and still stole some mealworms and an earth worm!
So will be interesting to see their growth rate

Character wise she is also a lot more friendly, placid and tame than Snoopy who can be full of nonsense but again we will see how that develops as she settles in and becomes more bossy

@ROEKSTE, I have my flagtail, a red shoulder severum, electric blue acaras, 2 geos tapajos and 2 geophagus Surinamensis. 2 Frontosas that are growing out and loaches Its a bit difficult to get a decent full tank shot with phone because of the size of the tank but I have tried100.jpg100.jpg109.jpg

    Thanks very much everyone..

@top dog, yes.... its growing nicely and broadening a lot!!!

Eats like a wolf and God help you if you dont give it enough because it gives you attitude like you cant believe

Pellets... Lets not go there... Im trying...
I stuff them in the shrimp... it takes the food but when it tastes the pallets.. spits it all out turns around with a splash of the tail and looks at you like its confronting you.. like how dare you!!
Put them in the mealworms which it loves.. same story..
I think next I will have to try starve him a bit but.... I need to harden my heart up a bit and find the courage to starve him....

These Arowanas are growing on me, saw one for the first time a couple of weeks back and wondered why would anyone want a fish that frowns its entire life :)

Your 'brat' looks much happier than the one I saw.
