No.... Flash doesnt do that BUT... Cesar's silver aro does....
They dont have the same character as a silver....
The silvers are very tempramental... @Cesar's is hitting 80cm and probably..15cm high... and has broken 2 slidders off the 3.5m tank already... not thin slidders...
Lucky no one got hurt as the glass fell in the tank....
They get jumpy and skitish easily....
Flash only jumps if in the evening I have doors open and a moth flies over the tank.. haha that's food to him!!
Otherwise he is calm and full of himself.. he makes others jump...
So yes... silvers are "magnificent dragons" but a hand full when they get really big....

@BoelderBeestie ... just by the way on the tank swaying..
Cesar has bolted the stands to the wall for safety otherwise an accident could have already happened

What a fish! Flash the red and bronze god of the underwater realm, lurking the depths, his overwhelming presence strikes fear and awe into us mere mortals. Devouring the souls of the unenlightened with his majestic beauty.

@Reedfish The embodiment of perfection which is Flash provokes such whimsical tales of mysticism and glory. The mistrals will sing his song for generations to come. I'm glad he is such a merciful god and spared us our land dwelling existence for so long. Hahaha nah, seeing fish like him puts me in a very good mood.

    Thanks @top dog ..
Havent really measured her for a while but looking at my ruler... i would say a little over 30cm..
I will measure her latter just as a matter of interest

Colour could probably be redder already if I tanned but I tried for a few days a few months ago and she wasnt happy at all...
Did a lot of reading and the experts all agree it stresses them out a lot and if the genes are there the colour comes with age so i stopped and she started eating again
So far.... i think its looking good.

Pellets.... you must be kidding!!!... unfortunately no pellets...

She will take shrimp, fish any kind of worms and crickets
Tried stuffing pellets in the prawn meat.. she chews it and as soon as she tastes the pallets, she spits everything out...
Now I get crickets and feed them a few days with pellets and carrots and that's how she gets some pellets in
Tried starving... wow.. she gets agro... then from a placid nature she turns into a bully and though she has never harmed anyone she chases everyone around... im sure its to get my attention... she is vey good at that..

LOL reminds me of our dogs when they start begging for what I'm eating and then when I offer it to them, they chew, tasting it and not liking it then spit it out. I once gave Cammy a gooseberry and she made a funny face, then spat it out. She's a pig when it comes to food and so is Gino, she literally vaccuums the kitchen floor - this dog is mad, she even licks the walls and cupboards.
