    Reedfish and Marco, no offence taken! May the better team win...which probably means West Brom will win 2-0, lol!

    @Marco, Yup, am well pleased that is over!

    They were showing the 2 Manchester matches on tv, but had the other scores on the bottom of the screen. After WBA equalised, I couldn't take it anymore! I took my kids out for the rest of the afternoon and told my Mrs to phone me at full time!

    @Marco,

    So there are 2 Arsenal players in the England squad. Just hope they don't get injured!

    The Euro us a waste of time. England is rubbish and will be lucky to qualify for the 2nd round.

    Hehehe,
    Its ironic how club football came about to expose players to selection for their countries, and now international football has become nothing more than a distraction.
    Walcott will most probably be injured and be out for half of next season. . .
    I was actually looking at the England squad and thought, mmmm, if Roy can put this together, they can actually surprise a few people

    @Marco, With the amount of money that clubs pay players, it's not really a surprise that the players aren't interested in International.

    I think the squad is rubbish. There are a few good players, and the rest are average at best. We will struggle to make the 2nd round.

    Go Chelsea! Would much rather see you in the Champs League next season than the horrible Spuds.
    Congrats to the Hammers on winning promotion

    Must be honest, I wanted BM to win.
    Chelsea are an arrogant bunch of thugs.

    But BM did have their chances - should have had it wrapped up in the 1st half. Too many wasted chances.

    Hi Reedfish

    Yeh, lookk, tbh I dont have much admiration for Chelsea, but i despise Spurs more. . . and so Im very glad to have this development.

    Robben cost BM. Not his penalty save, just his general selfish play. Gomez was waiting in te middle for a cross but not Ribery nor Robben eber delivered. Hat of to Drogba, a true Giant of a player.

    @Marci,
    Gomez was equally bad. Some of the chances he had were sitters.....I think the one shot he had must be in space by now :nuts:

    Drogba has been good recently. Apparently he is to play in China, of all places!

    @Marco,

    Well RVP is out the door. Was always going to happen. But he has had a lot of nasty stuff to say in the press. Not cool.

    To be honest, he had a below average Euro. So perhaps his golden run is over anyway. Form like that can't last forever.

    Hi @Reedfish

    Yes. . . Not quite sure how I feel about it. Rvp has always been a "potentially great player" but has been great once out of 8 seasons, not great is it. He has a soft body that gets injured too easily. Replacing him is a problem though, as Giroud is not too convincing imo.

    What scares me abt RVP leaving is that I doubt he is leaving for money. Whatever was said at the meeting did not fill RVP with confidence for Arsenals competitive future, and that is what I find worrying. I expect our transfer dealings to be done and dusted, so its yet another season of frustration from Walcott, no striker, a backline leaking goals and a midfield thats just not quite good enough.

    I am getting a tad tired of it.

    to be an Arsenal supporter is difficult... so much potential to get silverwear... but they are ALMOST there every year, the thing that grates my balls is that they lose loads of points to "minnow teams". And we lose another captain... it must be a curse!!

    Absolutely. But I think it all boils down to one fundamental problem. The Boards and/or Wenger's refusal to spend big money on high profile players.
    A few yeas ago, Wenger used to track down these youngsters, develope them into stars, and they would do well for us.
    Now, that isn't a novelty. All the clubs are doing it. And the guys we do develope, want to leave for more money and silverware at other clubs as soon as they are good enough.
