    Hi guysYou right @Reedfish, other clubs are doing the same, and they now attract the better youth players. . . I doubt its all Wenger. I think the whole club decided on a way forward and they are sticking to it, with a top four finish every season our "trophy". . . I am getting sick of it and Arsenal as a club should face a boycott with no match attendance until the supporters are satisfied.The thing though is, at the same time many top players are bought by clubs and just never materialize, Adebarndoor, useless since he left us, Torres at Chelsea, Carroll at Liverpool, Berbatov at Man U, so these things play in the boards favour.With RVP gone, hopefully all the sad sacks leaving also, Id love for us to Sign three more players, of which a right wing wud be great, and then play Walcott up the centre this seasonWhat u think?

    He's promised not!
    Well we have signed Padolski early and this French striker too. So we will see.

    @Marco,
    I doubt there will be a supporter boycott. The stadium seats 60,000 and the club has 155,000 members. You have to be a member to book a ticket. If you don't phone an hour or two after booking opens, you don't get much, unless it is one of the weaker opposition that no-one is realy that keen on seeing.

    Yup, I see Chamakh is basically out the door. We got him on free transfer and I see they might be getting £4 mill for him. So at least we made a profit on him, if nothing else.
    But sometimes players take a while to fit in. Look at Torres, took over a season to come right. And Carrol too - took a while to start scoring.

    I don't think Walcott should be in a central position. He isn't consistent enough.

    @Marco,

    So the bids are coming in for RVP. I see so far from Juventus, Man City and Man United. Though apparently, the one from United has been rejected already.

    I really hope that he goes elsewhere in Europe. Not happy about him going to another Premiership club. :unsure:

    Hi @Reedfish

    What astounds me abt the Van Persie deal is that he now suddenly has this air of arrogance about himself. He says the club doesnt share his vision for the future? Uh, maybe not Robin, but the club did support you through 7 injury plagued fruitless years!
    Im hugely disappointed in him tbh. I honestly hope he goes. I dont foresee him having another season like the last one in any event.

    Who will replace him though? Would be great if we could sign Lewandovski? What do you think abt all the Ganso rumours?

    @Marco,

    Yup he does seem very arrogant now. But you cant blame him in a way. The leading goal scorer in the Premiership last season and no silverware. His career is limited, and he wants something (trophies) to show for it. Loyalty doesn't come into this.
    And also, he is voicing what no one wants to hear. Management wont spend big money and as a result, we cant compete with the likes of Man U. A simple truth. You have to buy some big stars which Wenger or the board wont do.

    I do agree that he cant go on scoring as he has been and his "purple patch" could be at an end. He had a poor Euro, though he was playing out of position.

    Haven't heard anything about those other signings.

    And so far. . . With one or two signings still short in key areas-this has been our most "productive" and pro-active summer in years!
    Lets hope the new kids make a big impact.
    @Reedfish - you happy with the new buys?

    @Marco,

    New siginings look good. But the "proof of the pudding is in the eating" as they say. As long as they perform......

    I had the most awesome experience on Sunday.
    I took my son on a behind the scenes tour of Emirates. We went to the directors box, changing rooms, interview rooms, press area etc. Was fantastic to see.

    @Marco,

    So the Transfer Window closes in 16 hours......
    Can't say I am overly thrilled with who Wenger has bought so far. Besides Padolski, there is no one who is really classy. A few other average (at best) additions.

    Liverpool at home......hope we can finally score a goal.

    Hi @Reedfish

    Yeh, Im with you on that. Although Santi Cazorla has been very impressive too. I think he will prove to be an excellent signing.
    Actually, I think the three players Wenger signed are all goid, I just dont think its enough!

    Id like us to sign another striker, NOT Clint Dempsey, a utility back and another Midfielder. I think we have too many same type midfielders and not one true Defensive minded player.

    Lets wait and see - maybe Arsene surprise us

    At least we won on the weekend.
    But most disappointed to see RVP score a hat-trick

    Yep, our fears were once again realized. . .
    Still think we are short two, maybe three players.

    We won, but we werent as convincing as the result indicates

    @Marco, I think we are ok with the squad at the moment. But towards the end of the season, after there are injuries as there always will be.... Then we could be in trouble.

    Mean time reading about Liverpool in today's newspaper. At least our outlook seems better than theirs :laugh:

    @Reedfish

    You are right about the squad hey. If we can stay injury free to key players we can actually do ok. What a game Diaby played on Sunday hey!?

    Liverpool? Sheesh yes, Suarez is now not only the "best" they have, its all they have!

    I have one observation - if there is one club whose supporters should, all things considered be very worried, Ithink its Man Utd.
    Last year Fergie got them into second spot with pribably the worst Team of his tenure, I dont see him doing so again.

    They just seem "light" in all areas except up front. Especially midfield - its a shambles. Fergie might prove me wrong, but I have serious doubts. Is this spending money related?

    @Marco,

    Pity there is an England match this week. We are on a 1 match winning streak! :cool:

    Yup, Liverpool seem to be in deep trouble.

    Man U - Dunno. Fergie has a way of winning. Even with the squad he has. They do have the best striker in the Premiership :wacko:
    Hope you are right though. At least there will be 1 more CL place up for grabs.
    My brother-in-law is a big Man U fan, and he is worried.
