Oh ja, now I remember. They did a segment of it on 50/50 once.

It's the one with the video of the dog swimming in the sewage, right? But whas'nt there a guy who started to clean it up? If I remember correctly, he looked like Murray Hallam.

They had these mud like balls that contained bacteria or something that they threw in the pond, although I remember he talked about anaerobic bacteria and not the fish tank type stuff.

And @Henk Hugo, why wont the authorities let you help?

 

@Good_Times no dude, i dont mind, all of this is intresting so far and after page onje i had my answer bout it all, but i was at bruma lake bout 2 years ago doing some contract work there and whilst the lake did look clean, water was clear and even looked drinkable from a distance but it smelled really bad, especially after it rained and everything came down, but our local dam here in krugersdorp looks the same, the only fish we get by is is huge barbels as they live in a haven with abundant food fron the mall built right on it

 

Thats the place. Well the first problem is getting to speak to the right person, then you leave tons of messages etc. but no one calls you back. I think part of the problem is that our competitors have gone in an failed (as they do across the world) and they don't want to waste their time as there is the perception that bio-remediation doesnt work.

 

Why not just do it, or is it funding and stuff like that stopping you?

 

We will do it free of charge but we need permission to do it.

 

Will me giving it help?

 

Well if you can find out who the actual person in charge is who makes the actual decision and not some minion low down who is stalling that would be a great help. Not just for me but for everyone around the lake.

 

The problem is, i first need to find a competent person in goverment who can read, write and speak properly over the telephone, and these days thats something thats very rare in the city of JHB
