Good, reliable shop in the Krugersdorp-area

Having recently relocated from the East Rand to the West Rand, I'm a bit at a loss as to where to do my aquarium-related shopping.

On the East Rand I had a fair selection of decent shops when it came to supplies and fish.

The one or two mall shops I've found on the West Rand left much to be desired, and to top it all, I can't find replacement filters/sponges for my Resun 380 pump anywhere, unless I drive out to the East Rand, which is a bit extreme..

Any help please?

 

Hi @dilbertza, you can drive down to Hendrik Potgieter rd and pay a visit to Jungle Aquatics who is one of the sponsors. Think you will be able to find waht you're looking for from them. HTH.

Hey if you could also let me know what was in the pm! I am in the Kdorp area and have parents who are rather unsupporting of my love of fish, so I seldom get to any LFS, but getting my drivers soon, FREEDOM :bigsmile:

North Gate shopping centre - VIP Pet store
Cresta Shopping centre - I think also VIP Pet Store
Lifestyle Beyers Noude drive - Lifestyle Pet Hyper
Clearwater Mall - Interpet
Hill Fox - Animal Kingdom
West Gate Shopping Mall - Forgot the name
Allens Nek - Nemos Pet joint.

I use to stay in Roodepoort and I use to buy most of my fish at Interpet and VIP pet store (North Gate). Just don't buy some stuff at Interpet as they can be expensive.

There is a few others around there but I only use to go to these. At some of these you don't buy fish as they wount last. My first choise is VIP Pet store North gate for fish.

 

At the start of Ontdekkersroad at that big robot there's a p/shop (I think Pete's Pets shop). Blue building if I can remember. Big range of chiclids
