    Top timber frame done...except for some routing,stain,varnish and triangle canopy for lights.

    @hviviers75 -Shutterply. Its strong and gives a nice finish when sanded etc.
    @DerikPelser - you are close to me. I work @ F&F Building supplies in Chamdor. I'll give all TASA members very good prices on timber etc. (I'm not a salesman but can give you good prices)
    @f-fish - I'm going fish only with ornaments here and there. It is as close to the wall as I want it to be. There is about 50mm gap on both sides.

    @adriaand can you please do me/us a favour and post pics of the hood want to see what you did on the inside of the hood.

    Maybe take it off the tank for us and take some pics of the inside etc.

    Would really appreciate it lots.

    Will you be covering the top also I would think so LOL.

    Corner blocks 25mm. 50mm from the bottom. 125mm total board -50mm for tank = 75mm above tank.

    NO NAILS!!!! drill hole and screw. Silicone all gaps, cut 2mm silicone out then woodfiller. That prevents screws from rusting and prevents water getting to the screws.

    What will you be doing to cover the top of the hood?

    Will you have 2 pieces of wood for the top with hinges?
