3 of them are succulents , I saw on pintrest some while ago people growing cutting of succulents in water and they went well, since that's all I have of rooted little plants thought I'd give it try, while I wait for the mint to get roots and I'll just keep my eye on them and if they look unhappy I'll put them back in the soil.

I'd be quite happy putting in more plants, I'll go have a look around for those ones @A new day suggested.

Otherwise the daphnia sounds like a very good idea, as it would make my betta very happy as well I'm sure. Just need to find a lfs that sells them live

Ok so the little filter you are talking about is the one that you can fill with filter floss and other things. Its a bit old school but will wotk. Fill the bottom with a bit of gravel from the tank. Add in some ceramic rings if you have and pack in some filter floss and attach it to a air pump. You could also get a small sponge filter and use that instead. You can get them at Wild on Pets or at the other LFS a across the risd from the big builders in Edenvale. They cost about R50 and also work very well.

Hey guys, so I've been trying to find daphnia that are alive, and no one seems to have.. Does anyone know where I could get them from?

So it seems I've gotten the water clear again! I followed @David Kusner's advice and filled my old airpump filter with fine activated charcoal (as apposed to the pellets) and filter floss along with my current submersible filter plus he gave me some MTS and now after a week and a water change today the water is waaaaay more clearer!

That’s great news! Honestly just a couple of minutes ago I wondered about your pea soup problem and was about to ask how it was going
