    Hi all

just would like to find out from guppy keepers.. are they known to jump out tanks?
i bought a beautiful blue male guppy and prepared my 1 foot tank for him and a female last night, the water in the tank was about 10cms from the top of the tank and in there is a bubble filter.
this morning i found him on the floor about half a meter from the tank.

Nearly all fish are capable of jumping out of a tank - some are surprisingly better at it than others.

I guess you were just unlucky with this one...

You do get jumpers, it happened to me, but it only happened once, I have a black perspecs (spelling) for you that you can put over the small tank.

A side note, you might want to turn the pump down a bit, there is big bubbles coming from that filter.

@Ammar - Get yourself those tubing suckers and attach 2 (1 just above the filter and one near the surface) and you can remove the rocks from the top of your filter - It won't float away. Sorry about your loss dude.

Clearly the female was a bit of a fish wife and he was tired of her moaning at him :cheesy:

nope .. no animals other then fish, and i found the fish close to the tank, so it couldn't have been the neighbors cat sneaking in either..
