    Hey guys!

So after much struggling with my tank and the general population it contained, I have managed to be vigilant enough to keep all 9 guppies alive for going on two weeks now! (as well as the original inhabitants)

I selected them very painstakingly at the shop, chose my males first, and then chose my females to accentuate the males. Got one sunrise male with a half red, half yellow tail (almost a dead centre line, its gorgeous), an amazingly sky blue male, who reminds me of silk pajamas for some reason. And then a blonde snakeskin :)

chose two females for each male that seemed to carry the same traits, so hopefully will get some very interesting results from them! Now it is a community tank, so there wont be exclusive breeding, and the females were carrying fry already, so it might take a while for them to start carrying my new three exclusive lines ;)

anywhoo... I put them all in the tank (and then pulled up a chair infront of it just to watch my pretty new fishies), and not even an hour later I spotted not one, but TWO fry! :D (very chuffed mom)

So now in total I can see four, I have separated them into a net that is hanging in the tank, and have put a piece of that floating stringy plant in there with them. I have been giving them very fine bits of fish food, but wanted to know if its worth getting BBS for them? Christmas presents has me a bit strapped this month (Ok im lying, it was the fish tank stuff I bought...), so next month ill go buy a hook on net tank thing, and also some of the specialised fish food. What else is worth getting?

Would like to see some pics!

And if you start breeding.......it sometimes never stops!

But it is fun- the genetics of guppies are amazing.

The pics I have at the moment aren't all that great (phone camera), as I cant seem to remember to buy a US-UK charger adapter for my camera charger. But here are my males, females have been too fast to take pics of :) (and one of my ancistrous, just because he is so cute :)

Nice male... Very curious to see how the fry turn out. Is the red tail female the mom?

Thanks :) Those three in the pics are my males though, Will try get pics of my females tonight, but the three decent pics of the females I have are below.

This one is my absolute favourite, her colouring is just to die for. Im most interested to see how her fry come out. Her tail is see through in the middle (not sure what is behind her in the pic below, but she is a bit of a busy body hehe)
