I were so lucky

had a 3 ft crack a bottom glass during the night but at leasts saved my fish

 

What caused the tank to crack?
How long was it running?

 

hi there it was a secondhand tank so i dont know how old it is but know it did get som heat from a fire before but i redid the silicone and thought it would be fine but did not think about glass getting soft from heat and get damaged
that is why this time i bought a new 1.2... 300 lt
ps. hehehehe not second hand again if i dont know its history hehehe

Hey reaper i feel your pain man, i bought a second hand 1,2m and set it like a week ago, it was running for 3 days and then started leaking from a crack in the base, i will never buy a 2nd hand tank again, got a new one today.
reaper have you made any inquiries to have the tank repaired? can it be repaired?

 

i checked the tickness of the rest of the glass it was fine and i had some glass at home so i repaired it yesterday
ps.i allso bought a new 1.2 last week and a 3 footer

 

thats the thing with 2nd hand its a voetstoets story you very lucky if you get one that lasts.
