Hi Guys I please need advice on water parameters. I have just set up a 350L aquarium with Juwel bioflow 6.0 filtration, have done a hardscape with river sand (very clean) and Basalt rock. Tank still cycling but only day 4. I have 30l quarantine tank that is keeping the Malawi cichlids before I move them to the main tank. Only adding 8 Cichlids to get the cycle going. I have treated the water with Tetra Safe dechlorinator only. Been testing the water and Nitrite and Nitrate at 0, as no source of Ammonia has been added. The GH is well within the recommended parameters for Cichlids so happy with that and the pH is at 7.6 and not moving...great. The KH level is as high as can measure, is this a problem? if so what to do? Is high KH not a great pH buffer? Really don't want to start messing around too much with water. The Cichlids in the quarantine tank are happy active and vibrant for now but want to get this right from the start. Any advice and crit would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
