Lost some fish today

    I lost 3 fish today after my normal water change. Nothing was different that every Saturday, except that i think that between looking after the kids and cleaning the tank i accidentally added seachem excel twice. Could that have caused an overdose co2? Most of the fish started to react strange after the change and looked like they were gasping for air. The ones that died started first to swim upside down and then died. I immediately did another 50 % change and it seems like the fish were better after that. All is looking ok now.

    i doubt its the seachem, a lot of the guys double dose on it when the have algae. probably something in todays water..

    @Hectorcl ... to understand a bit more about excel, have a look at this thread So...who uses Excel? (Gluteraldehyde) .. maybe you know this, maybe it has some interesting info.

    Sorry about the loss, never cool when this happens.
