Male Betta: deep Purple and preferably Crowntail

Hi all

i wonder if anyone can help

im looking for 1 male betta - deep purple in colour (like a Cadbury's purple colour)

thats the only fish that my missus really wants and ive been extensively researching for the last two weeks...i think i can pull it off in my community tank and keep a betta along with the other inhabitants. ive already adjusted the flow of the filter and airpump etc and tested for dead/calm spots

for my preference, ideally i want a crowntail however any normal veil/delta tail would be fine...its more important for the colour.
We saw a deep purple betta in one of the LFS, she fell in love with him but we didnt get him...we went back this weekend and he was gone. Now she is saying "what if it was a once in a lifetime" chance to get the purple betta and we missed it

any idea of cost and place to source?

i hope you guys come right. purple is one of the rarer colours.

this was my thread from a few months ago

now its back live, if anyone is looking in CPT, last weekend, the bergvliet LFS had 3 solid deep purple males, one looked a bit sickly but the other two was strong and active.

i dont have space for another male as i got my betta dude already

 

Thank you for posting this. As up to this point your post has helped me more in a few days than my own search has in almost 7 months. I got into contact with Altus and his response was immediate.

I am in Centurion, and the LFS tend to keep just blue and red. No variety at all.

I have found one special fish, I have been hoarding it a few months , yes I DO THAT SOMETIMES.
..it could be a grand specimen for any dedicated keeper-Breeder, if it matches enough of your likes...
I am not near my other fish, but will seek out alternatives in next 2days
...just not as striking as the RoundTail Betta Male you've been mailed about.
