Kids always want to help when not asked, bt along as they bussy. And my son that's 8yesrs is just to proud that he helped me and cant wait to see what fish is going into the swimming pool. As when the tank was on the floor I put him inside and was amazed how big it was.

Do you use a glue to join/seal the pipe joins or does it self seal?.

It all depends on the type of connections.
The PVC pipe is glued in with PVC glue at most bends. As I would not remove it and to make sure it doesn't leake. There is like a joint connection so I can detach it. Or just block water off.20190514_203514.jpg See pic

Thanks for the info, thinking about setting up some piping to make water changes easier, which glue do you use?

There a tap like connection on the side, That for draining water out of sump. And tap higher up that I close thet flows to tank. Pump connectet to bottom of pipe. The glue just says PVC would. Like pink tube.20190522_084327.jpg

Was waiting for paint to dry on sump cupboard and started filling sump and making sure its flowing 100% and added 50% water to tank sofar. Not sure what was more frustrating, waiting for paint to dry or looking how long it takes to fill tank.20190617_182533.jpg

    Looking fantastic and awesome size

The frustrating part is once everything is done and you waiting to be able to add fish... staring at the empty tank is torture!!

So last night I could not sleep...as I got tank running. Everything went well. Just waiting for temp to increase. Some fine tuning to be done on return nossel, as it to high up on surface and splashing to much on lid.
