My 1.2m Tank Rebuild

Did some minor maintenance earlier.

• 50% water change
• Moved the umbrella plant behind the Blyxa as it was starting to root through the carpet. Had to move it now before it becomes a nightmare later.
• Moved the pink hygro to the back
• Major trimmed the star grass and the 'octopus' on the right
• Trimmed the pearl weed a bit to keep space for the Diversifolia to grow out. I won't prune this yet...waiting for the one shoot to hit the surface and then I'll trim & replant.
• Moved CO2 atomizer to the corner. Tried to use a powerhead but it's too powerful...need to get something smaller.
• Trimmed the L.Palustris a bit.
• Left the Mayaca and Rotala as-is
• Trimmed the most-left Blyxa and replanted the shoot next to it
• Plucked some giant baby tears and moved to the left-front corner...want to see how I can merge it with the main bush on an angle

Yeah, can't wait for it to fully grow out....wanna get to the point where I don't have have to fiddle much. I should be getting new plants this coming week that I ordered early last week. The Ludwigia Glandulosa and Limnophila Aromatica need to go in this tank. The Glandulosa is going where to 2 pieces of rocks are, and the Aromatica at the back, replacing the 'Octopus'. I also ordered mermaid weed, but I'll put that in my new 70l tank as I just don't have any more space in this tank. I hate the fact that this is not a deep tank...makes scaping more challenging.

I noticed some of my crypts on the left melted again. Not entirely sure why, but I can only guess that it's due to the rise in temperature. That was the only change I did to the tank. But no harm thus far, it should grow back soon. I'm putting Tom Barr's statement re 'higher temperatures = faster plant growth' to the test.

The S. Repens is at least spreading out albeit at a snail's pace.

So my green neons that I ordered last week arrived this morning. They are all in very good health and are happily schooling together. I want to get another 20 now as I think they're too little now for this tank.

20 is not going to cut it for me I'm afraid. I'm now wanting 30 more....busy scouting around to see if someone in CPT has but if not, I'll place another order with Aqua Empire.

So, I just got off the phone with the supplier and I had to get a refund. After 3 weeks of following up where my order is, mixed with Covid issues on their side, I'm hearing that they don't even have stock of the said plants and that they didn't receive it this week. Very unprofessional experience from this supplier, but I'll not harp further on that. I'll have to order now from a different supplier. #AngerLeadsToHate
