    Hi All,

I'm very excited because my Corydora just laid her first eggs. The only sad part is it is in a community tank but what an interesting experience it was to see how the whole process works.

    Cheers!!

Congrats! Did you see them do their mating dance?

It's great to have babies. You could scrape the eggs off the glass and place them in their own separate tank if you plan to raise them. The fry do not stand much of a chance in a community tank.

    Wow congrats !

I am new here but wanted to share my similiar experience ...

I read somewhere on the Net that just before a big storm (lower atmospheric pressure = less oxygen in water ) you should do a big water change ... the change in temperature will get them to lay eggs

I tried it a few times ... and it worked !!!

Saw them dance and attached the white eggs to some of the plants in my tank
Unfortunately it was also a community tank so most of the eggs were eaten ...

Thinking all of them were eaten ... about two weeks later I was watching my tank a saw a small little fish on the gravel ... at first I thought it could be a guppy but i caught it and put it in the trap and you could see the little barbels already and it had the panda cory pattern ...

was amazing... unfortunately after feeding it BBS and algae pellets in a guppy trap for 2 weeks i woke up one morning and the trap was on the floor of the tank and the little cory was gone ...
