    Hi my fellow fish keepers

In my 2 years of keeping ornamental fish I've always had medium sized fish of 10-15cm with smaller fish of 4-7cm.
Now I've decided to keep a small fish only tank and then maybe a BN pleco to eat algae.

    The tank is about 110L

Filter is a ViaAqua f130 rated 500l/h (I bit strong but ok)

150watt heater set at 26C, and tank temp is 25.5C

I have not tested PH yet but its probably around 6.

Its lighted with 2x 11watt cool day light and 1x 15 watt cool white

Its planted with allot Vallisneria and one Echinodorus spp.

    Stocking:
    12 neon tetras
    7 white clouds
    7 guppies, 6 female and 1 male
    And some apple snails
I've added the fish some 20 minutes ago.

I want to get some other tetras but I'm not sure witch.
    And get more male guppies.
Almost forgot to say that the filter is cycled and has been running in this same tank with my Senegal for some time now.

I'll try to upload some pics tonight.

    Regards Francois

Just took a look at the tank and fish and I saw that I have a male guppie fry and that is very good as I seldom get males.
    So I have 5 female and 2male.

    Update:

I harvested 8 java fern babys today, some are very small and others are over 2cm high.
And I tied them to a nice piece of wood.
Its remarkable how just a java fern leaf can make big babys when it starts to die.
Not sure what wood it is, but the BNs like it allot.

I pruned the sword quit aggressive as the leafs started to become old and damaged.
The Vallis is doing grate, but I want to get other plants like deformed hygro :D

I was at the letaba river Friday and a found some algae or moss that grows in the currents, I could not get a pic but I think its algae. I might get some of it when I go there again.

I dosed EI on friday as well, but I only have Lime, epsom salt and iron Chelate . I need to get NKP this week.

I'm going to pietersburg tomorrow so maybe I'll get some plants.

    Hallo!

I should be able to offer you some of my Ludwigia Repens and Willow Leaf Hygro by the time you come to our valley. Mine has been growing very well and should be due for a trimming by then. It won't be a lot, but at the rate it grows it should fill out very quickly. If we're lucky I may have some Hygrophilia difformis as well. I've got some HM but have no idea what they will be up to by then. Last week the growth was very slow and the previous week it grew like grazy!

I've got some of those Java Ferns that make the curly points making small plants so there might be some of those as well when the time comes.
