    Good Job ... wow so much filtration an aquaclear HOB and a canister. Is that the original 7200k PLL in the Haiyang 24W fixture or did you find some 6500k to fit?

    Your tank is a true inspiration.

    @f-fish: Yeah it is an Aquaclear 70 and a Eheim 2211 canister, combined they do about 2000 lph. Managed to direct the flow in such a manner that my fish are fine. The 7200k PLL I replaced with a 6400K took me about a month to find a place that sells them in 6500K, bought a few spare just in case I cannot find them.

    Had to trim my moss this morning and in the process remove a piece of driftwood in the process to do this I discovered that my shrimp colony is alive and well and breeding considering all the fish that would chow them in my tank coloured me impressed. Trimmed the moss and re-attached it too the same piece of wood.

    Also in the process had to remove some of the "dread mts" from the piece of wood before working, these fellows really do there job keeping my gravel churned over and eating all the left over food and dead plant material.

    @GavinD: Thanks.

    This is what I have done with the moss on my piece of driftwood. Snipped the top and added to the bottom of the wood:

    Added a Amazon Sword to the back left hand corner to fill in the space that was open there:

    And hopefully the Vallis I planted stays planted this time around the fish digged it up twice already:

    So after a year I have my tank and scape were I want it, lowtech is slow but very rewarding. I am now confident enough to try and grow some ground cover. Going to go for micro sword and see how it goes, some updated pictures:

    Thank's. I don't want to break it up everything 4-6 months like most people once I have scaped it I leave it and see where it goes.

    @Swagasaurus, I've thrown away about two handfuls of Lilaeopsis brasiliensis in the bin after doing some maintenance.

    Yours if you want it.
    They have been growing in my emmersed setup.

    Let me know if I should go and fetch it out of the bin for you.

    Lilaeopsis brasiliensis generally grows very slowly. Even emmersed it grows a bit slow.

    btw, how can you trim the Lilaeopsis? can you trim like grass?

    Swag, I saw at the LFS that they had a crap load of
    Lilaeopsis... If I recall correctly, it was about R15 a pot. Too bad you are not in KZN. :cheesy:

    @Chongkie: Every time I am not looking for something I find it everywhere. And when I start looking for it, then it is nowhere to be find.
