So I tried to get some more Panda Corys today but they only had Sterbai, got 4 Sterbai

 

where did you get sterbai from?

 

@Caudelia from Durban pets they didn't have any Clowns. These sterbai were only R36 they had quite a few yesterday

Just got 6 neon tetras, will add another 8 in a week or so then maybe a few more corys and a pair of bolivian rams

Pandas growing nicely, one of my sterbai hanging around them

 

One of my sterbai died saw him sucked to the side of my filter this morning, oushed him off he swam away then came back I did an emergency WC tested the ammonia and it was 0 the other fish have been fien. I put him in a jug I use for WC and he just kept floating on his back. I examined him no marks or spots. I will keep a close eye on the other fish

 

I am planning on buying a standard 2 foot tank with a small internal filter, I have spare heaters and I will just fit a small t8 tube and use it for quarantine. No subtrate or anything

 

Really sorry for your loss! Loosing a cory is terrible! :cry:

Ps: You can also look into getting some otocinclus for those algae. They'd be a nice addition to your tank.

 

@Dinky thanks these are my first sterbai, the pandas I got have grown so nicely

 

So I went past a small LPS today and they had neons on special 10 for R90 naturally I had to buy some, and they had corys which are becoming my weakness so I picked up the 2 albinos they had and a bronze.

 

Oh please do share some clues to where you bought them.

 

Current stock: 3 panda corys, 3 sterbai corys, 2 albino corys, 1 bronze cory,16 neon tetras, +\- 20 platy fry that are getting close to neon size. One female platy bursting with fry (think I spotted a baby now so she may be birthing) Plan is to give away the female and the fry once they are big enough. I want 2 or 3 ottos maybe another 6 neons and then my pair of bolivian rams. Will post some pics later
