Cropheus, do not worry about a current in your tank. I run a 1000l/hr and 1800l/hr together and my fish love it. This runs down the back glass of the tank and my mbuna feed off the algae, on it, all the time.
If you increase your filtration you will be able to hold more fish. Add these in once tank settled with what you have. 4-6 weeks time should be fine. I have fish that every now and then become skittish and hide when you approach. What you can do is leave your lights off during the day or use only half if possible.

    Thanks @scotty

Well i am struggeling to find the acei and some albino socolofi. :(

I removed alot of the rock i have in atm. Fish seem more open and some are digging in under the rocks. Should i rather add the rocks back in and get them use to them.

Where in gauteng can i get f1 juvies?

    Cheers

Heya mate. Great job on the tank so far. I can tell you that you can throw your rocks back in. My Lab. Caeruleus were also extremely shy when I got them and now they are just over 6cm and spend a lot more time out. But that said, they do seem to be more shy than all others in the tank.

Regarding your stock, if you are having problem finding cyaneorhabdos you can always look at johannii which is very similar looking. Like a blue version of auratus. Cute fish, very active in the tank and very feisty. I put on in my tank yesterday, he is about 3cm. The smallest in the tank but doesnt allow ANYONE to hassle him. Not even my 10cm Greshakei. I recently added a Crabro also. I have 4 female lombardoi in my tank I need to remove if you're interested in taking them off my hands ;)

After reading some several articles, i have decided to include in my tank one male Protomelas sp. "Steveni Taiwan" (Taiwan Reef). I'm investigating other Peacock or Hap I can include. The taiwan reef is peaceful so will be nice in the tank.

Ok, hee is my reply, and please flame as you like :)

I lost it at the lps this weekend, and eventually just bought some fish.

Here are some photos. If anyone is interrested in 8 hybrid yellow labs, at next to nothing please pm.

Labidochromis sp. "Hongi" 2 males and 3 females
Labidochromis caeruleus (Lion's Cove I) (8 juveniles, will prob take back to store as you can see in the photos, they are hybrids with red zebras)
    Dimidiochromis compressiceps (2 juveniles)
Pseudotropheus sp. "Elongatus Usisya" (looks liek I got 3 males and 2 females, eventhough I asked for 2 males and 3 females)
    Nimbochromis venustus (2 juveniles)

The Usisya are and Hongi i most like. I however will sell the 2 males, and keep 1 male with 4 females, as I can see they are more aggresive than the rest.
I will retun or sell the hybrid labs to someone, only if they accept they are hybrids and try and get 1:4 ratio of them aswell.

The Hongi I think are 2 males and 3 females, but not 100% sure.

    http://db.tt/YAq7A9WT Venustus 2 juvies
http://db.tt/bXTFB4Jc Usisya male (but not sure, please ID)
    http://db.tt/LGrOIE6F same
    http://db.tt/AzIYp8Vp my pride usisya male
    http://db.tt/bIGotmXq weird male again
    http://db.tt/UaqgxP1b Other usisya male
    http://db.tt/U9OiKiZm Hybrid Yellows :-(
    http://db.tt/gMh7Bkmf same
    http://db.tt/BfUWwZ9Z Hongi
    http://db.tt/gey5N8vX Yellow

I will also be selling one of the usisya males, so pm me.

@Cropheus - Pic 2. If you meant Pseudotropheus elongatus "usisya" - that aint it mate.... looks a bit more like a hybrid that has a lot of Exasperatus in it - Showing the classic Melanochromis body bar - not sure WHAT it is actually .... Usisya's body is a solid brown - with a purple bar across the nose...

Hi Cropheus, I don"t want to burst your bubble but besides the Hongi the other fish are of really poor quality and breeding. I will try and get you a good shot of what a Usisya should look like. Breed them from wild stock. Those caeruleus and the "other usisya" are shocking to say the least. No idea what they are but not what you list them as.

    @scotty

I agree with you 200% mate. I will be taking the yellow labs back to the shop, and the Usisya. I spoke to the owner and he will refund me 100%. Just as a further update (will post pics over the weekend.

I will be completely removing the Usisya's.
Have bought 1male and 4 female Pseudo. Acei (very good quality I think)
I also got 8 Pseudotropheus cyaneorhabdos and 1 male and 1 female Protomelas sp. "Steveni Taiwan" (Taiwan Reef).
