    I think people are confusing the word emersed to submersed. I had the same problem the other day and I looked the words up in a dictionary.

    Those adeniums are lovely. Somehow, they bloom when everything else looks stone dead. I wonder how hardy the hybrids and cultivars are, compared to the Impala lily that rots at the merest hint of overwatering in our colder climate. @Ladysphinx, if you are keen to grow them, many of the indigenous nurseries stock them. You could try Witkoppen, maybe. They also sell them at many of the Sanparks shops in Kruger and so on. Silverhill Seeds would also have their seed in their catalogue from time to time - I haven't looked recently but I've seen it in the past. Growing from seed is more difficult and of course slower, but you get more plants for less money (if you know how to) and it is infinitely more rewarding and authentic.

    @Reedfish, that method is exactly how I germinate just about everything nowadays, from cacti to carnivorous plants. It works like a charm. Only problem is that it is so successful that I end up with more seedlings than I can grow on to adulthood.

    I've bought from them - really good seeds. That's where I got my Connecticut Field Pumpkin seeds - we managed to harvest 5 this year. I cut up one for Halloween LOL. It was awesome. These pumpkins are actually great for making pumpkin pies and cakes - I've made a few and they were delicious!!!! Specially with cream cheese icing. Oh boy! Even my nephew who hates vegetables like me, loved it.

    @Rainstorm

    Yup, I get that.
    But the point I am making is that I think these ferns won't like the excess water.
    Who knows, maybe an interesting experiment?

    I have bought from them, and can unreservedly recommend them. The other two companies I also deal with and trust are Seeds and All, and Silverhill Seeds, the latter only for Southern African indigenous species. If you want seeds of indigenous amaryllids, then Silverhill is really your only option. But I should add that our postal service has improved tremendously in the past year, and international orders are again possible. From Europe, I have had postage of around R100, and the stuff reached me in 2-3 weeks.

    Glad to hear this, I got to a point were I didn't trust them any more but at this point I may just need to use them because I will probably need to order a new charger for my camera and Ebay is much more affordable than any where else.

    Will definitely look into them too.

    I think it can grow submersed & emersed too since I got it from a lady and during the summer months it's under water and during the winter when it's drier it's out of water. It is ok to put in your tank I haven't tried it out of water yet but I want to.

    The first one looks like Fissidense but slightly different to me. Might be emersed form I'm not sure. If the last one was found in water it should be fine although it might carry various funny bacteria and contaminants. All the other ones looks to be nonacuatic mosses.
