@Vez That is not cool... But i convinced my 1 friend who was a arachnophobic that spiders aren't that bad and now she has 2 tarantulas of her own... (And that only took a year and a half...) But i know what you are talking about... The rest of the family won't even come and visit me because they are to scared...

Wat ek herhaaldelik hoor: IS JY VAN JOU KOP AF!!!
My antwoord: Ja... Ja ek is...

    :p

Awesome looking spiders! I really want a snake but my parents say I can't, maybe they will allow and arachnid.
What are you keeping them in?
I watched a program on Discovery a while ago and a vet was trying to help a young lady handle her spider. He used the term ''Old world'' and ''new world'' tarantulas. Old world being able to dust of some hairs that irritate the skin, is this true?

theres about 3 trinidad (h. incei) sacs happening they should be available pretty soon yay! @BugMan

il give you a shout soon as i notice some and vice versa cos i also need a communal!

Elegance.jpgheres another one of the dwarf species you may like c. elegance! the little heart on her bum is normally red :) what a lovely Valentine present for that special someone ;)

yup firefly they are worse then the bite!!!! some kick hairs easier then others. from my point of view my spiders stay in their boxes! :noworry: the hairs are like a little barb, remember the old school itchy powder??? that was made from tarantula hair!

@Firefly: it is shocking to hear what animal mechanics(no offence) say... That is completely wrong it is the new world tarantulas that have urticating hairs, while the old world ones have got really nasty venom that would put you in bed for a about a week... Futher more the old world tarantulas includes all the ornamentals and baboon easier way to explain that is anything from Asia, Africa, Australia or Europe is old world and everything from both North and South America is New World...

@luquail PLEASE let me know about those H. incei... I am really looking for them and for the Accanthoscurria juruenicola and the A. brocklehursti...

I will post some photos of Skeleton tomorrow... She is looking GOOD!!!

@BugMan - Thanks for correcting me, it was my mistake, not the T.V. ( I think I swapped them).
Animal mechanics is my dream job:sad2:.

@Firefly i just joke when i say Animal Mechanics, i have quite a few friends that are vets... But One day i will indeed need vets for all my lizzards... And according to me: Any job that makes you happy to the deepest part of your hart is a BRILLIANT JOB!!! ;-) That is why i NEVER listen to what people say about me and my passion for insects...
