Wow! Thats amazing! How'd you manage that?... (Lol, I have no idea what the significance is, but I'm rolling with it :) )

Btw, why such rough gravel in a nano setup?

Very minimalistic approach... Can you imagine how awesome this would look if we could do the same without the gravel! That's be taking the minimalistic look to a new level!

The little white piece of gravel looks out of place. I would suggest you take it out. :p

Man none of you have a sense for art.

Just joking. I did do something however.

This is just sort of a bone structure build for the scape. Just wanted to see how it looks and what needs changing.
Also had to get the HC I had from emmersed to submerged.

Ideas are welcomme. Sorry for the cloudy water but was messing around before the photos.

Things that are already going is the Anubias and the moss under the tree and stump.

Planning to try some excell as I wont be going CO2.

This is going to be awesome Vis, perhaps you want to raise the section with the 'tree' so it looks like its up on a hill. Just a suggestion.

looking good vis, id also suggest raising the tree on a hill type thing it'll make it the focal point.

Nice! I wanted to do something just like that, black sand though.

Even have a piece of wood matching a tree form soaking, started planting hairgrass patches for the grass look and getting my spiky moss in order for the canopy..

this setup makes me wish i had time to get to mine on the path as well.

How did you 'build' the canopy Vis? Netting? Also, what moss is that, bad cellphone not showing details well, cant id it.

Thanks guys. Also came to the idea of raising the tree more as the scape did look
a little flat. Want to change the substrate to flourite so I will do it then.

The moss is weeping moss, still new growth so haven't started to 'weep' yet.
The canopy is a tringle of wood that connects all the top branches of the tree.

This is actually also the second build for the tree, made some mistakes with the first.
Also had a nice spiky moss wall in the background but it took the focus of the tree totally.

    Small Update

    Ok some small update.

gave the moss on the tree a decent trim so it would grow back thicker so its a little less shade now :blink1:

Removed the anubias and replaces it with some flame moss on a flat rock that still needs to grow.

Also changed the substrate a little.

Thanks Ash. Yip that cabinet is still worth every minute it took to make it :)
Waiting for some ground cover plants and then the scape will go further with maybe one or 2 more changes.
