I hear you, unfortunately my light knowledge is very minimum, and I rely on people to give me the right advise. I will be returning the unit, unfortunately I have sold my Odysea unit, but will replace it.

    Thanks for the info @sub-lime

@sub-lime I can from experience say that Kessils work, as I have used them and had amazing growth from them with no algea issues, this was not just a staff member, it was the owner, look I dont want to talk crap here or diss anyone about what he told me, so lets leave that part out. I am just hoping that I will get a refund.

Cheers, I'l make it simple for you and anyone else.
If the graph on the packaging doesn't look like this (See it peaks in the blue 450nm and red 680nm) then its not going to grow plants well - it will grow them but don't expect amazing results.

Ok, so I had a long conversation with the owner, and we came to a conclution. He asked me to give it another month, as these lights have been proved to be up there with the likes of ADA and so on, and it is the new generation LED`s.

So I will use it, like I will start of a new tank with lighting, starting off with less time, and less intensity, then gradually increase it like I would do with my odysea units. Perhaps a shock to the plants, different spectrum and strenght...

I want these lights to work, so I will try my best to make it work. If not he has agreed to take it back.

I will update if there is any changes.
