I've been bitten by a frog once. Broke the skin too, it did. That'll teach me to try and kiss them.

Have you bought some, and where. I would like to try them out in my guppy breeding tanks.

No I definitely did not buy it, it must have fallen off the back of a boat.

I ordered a 5KG extinguisher for ~R1500, also from Bizzy fire. Now I'm a bit broke and will need to wait till month end to buy the regulator.

Please do not fall into a trap and try and buy these Cheap regulators, i struggles seriously to get a proper constant flow rate with them. If you can afford it, buy the ones with gages and a proper build in drop counter. I have used this one and a separate solenoid valve and they are not fun to work with. If i did not struggle with them so much, i would have told you you can have them for free to play with till you can buy a proper setup. The secret with these are a proper pypi between the regulator and solenoid something like festo pipe that can handle the pressure of the CO2 cylinder. The pipe after the solenoid should just be rated for CO2 pressures as it is pretty much open ended through the defuser. Most diffusers also acts as the bubble counter. Let me know if your looking for toys and I can pass these on.

I know how you feel, my fish budget has been depleted, and I can't even buy lucky star.
I managed to buy the strideways pro regulator that was advertised on the site recently. Discovered it was still brand new when I installed it without the seal ring and it vented gas everywhere, found the seal in the packaging.

Hi Jaco, I'm curious, my CO2 cylinder has a spherical base (at least according to the images - it's being delivered today), and I assume yours does also. How are you standing it upright?

Maybe this will help. If its really round without any flat surface to make it stand you can get a sleeve with a ID just bigger than the OD of the silinder and cut it as long as you can but has to be below the valve. Slide your cylinder into it. It will stand. It needs to be a pretty tight fit. Too loose and the cylinder will tilt to the side and push the sleeve over with it. THe heavier the sleeve the better.

    Something like this:lil.jpeg

A combination of using the force and magic, but I think the fact that mine has a flat bottom also helps a little bit.
