The monte carlo was really struggling with the previous lighting.

I have a great big mass of Ilaeopsis grass you can have if you like. I just don't have the space for it. I'm also on the cusp on starting to rehome/throw out mucho rotala pink clippings, and probably some cryptos as well.

You'll need to quarantine it though and treat it with all the chemicals for safety.

Happy days, the monte carlo has started to carpet, 6 of the plants have sent out sideshoots instead of going up.

I think the Java moss in my tank is growing faster, will take this out and put it back in the tank.

i am trying some of those clear plastic tubs, very similar to your setup, i just dont keep mine as wet..

the ug, glosso and hc were from one tissue culture pot each, the growth has been awesome, those little tc pots are so expensive, but you can multiply them and make them go a long way to save some money! and if you have space, you can just keep a tub going, and never need to buy again...

yeah, i am setting up my 90 soon, and i didn't want to fork out a whole bunch of cash on plants, so instead i forked out a whole bunch of cash on tubs

at least now i have them for as long as i need them.

also some cool plants became more available while i was taking a break, and i am still in that plant hoarder mindset i guess, where i never know when i will see that plant again, so i am growing them to hold onto them for future, but plant imports seem to be quite regular now from ada, dennerle and tropica especially, so i need to get out of that frame of mind.. but it still saves a lot of money growing them out before you need them, so you only need to buy one pot..

I also want to do this. So many frags, so little space.

But those domed seeding containers are so expensive, even on Temu! It's cheaper to buy Tupperware™.

@wearsbunnyslippers What is the name of this plant? I had a few tiny and healthy frags growing but they're stuggling atm. It makes a hard, coarse stem when leafless.

i went to plastics for africa and got some addis tubs, they are a bit more expensive, but not as flimsy as those domed plastic cultivation or cake tubs, and they will last a lifetime i'm sure

    So that's S. repens! Thanks.

@Jakes take a look in among the Ilaeopsis, there should be a tiny frag of it you must rescue.

Love your hygger! I'm also very happy with mine. In terms of bang for your buck, I don't think there's better out there
