New 4Ft with DIY 3D Background

keeping these lil clippings in my lil 60Ltr till i have lights in my 4Ft
hope they grow!! they in ADA and have my light on and they in the Braai area so lots of sunlight too ...

Hi all, not an update but a request
getting my lights today ( hopefully ) so any and all plants and trimmings will b very much appreciated

also borrowing a good Camera this weekend so will put up some Quality pics next Monday or so

Hi @Luis, Just an observation. Put more water in the tank with the clippings. The leaves should be submerged. They will dry out like that.

 

its full Slo, that was a during pset up. Tank is full and fully operational

Give me about 2 weeks and I'll have about half a bucket of clippings. My tank grows wild at the moment.

so my Cuz Decommisioned his 3Ft and asked me to look after his Babies 4 a while ...



11 tigers
11 red eye tetras
5 glowin tetras
4 angels
3 swords
2 AE ??
2 Glass Cat Fish ( very very cool )
2 pictus
2 Khuli Loaches

a lil/big strain on my filter i know, but now it looks like a FISH TANK ....

what u guys think??

thanx Slo, ya, they sooooo cool, had 9 of my own already n now with his 11 its like a big old school, really really fun guys to watch, just hope they dont grow to quick, think 20 is a bit tooo much ...

 

Oh dear, that is a huge amount of fish to add to a tank at once. Increase your wc for a few weeks and watch your ammonia and nitrite levels carefully

 

ya, thanx Ash, gonna keep a close eye on the levels
i already do a weekly WC n top ups every second day ( open Top )
so im gonna do my normal wc on Sunday n take it from there
i also have my lil 60Ltr going ( to grow plants for the 4Ft ) so if need b ill move some lil Guys

 

o and also, execpt for my BIG male Angel, all other Fishies are Juniors, 4cm or smaller ...

Got quiet a bit of plants from Byron
have started planting a bit of them but its kinda difficult in a full 4FT so most went into my lil 60Ltr for now ...

 

camera not as good as ide hoped

 

3Ft Canopy is temp, still waiting 4 my lights and pic bg ....

 

also, need more Aquasoil and black substrate for all the plants n a fuller look, so next month gonna empty it all into the bath
rescape, plant, refill and top up ...
