Everything that could go WRONG did !!

    over the long weekend ....

already by last week Wensday my Angels werent looking too Good
so on wens and thursday gave them some Rooibos n waited

On thursday 2 plecos n two Cat fish died :( :(

had my lil 60Ltr full of new plants so i couldnt move them
so just did a 50% WC and waited ....
    2 Tigers Died ...

moved everyone to the Decommisioned 3FT ( about 25% treated water and 25% old 4FT Tank Water )

by Friday 2 bala sharks and 2 Tigers died
    did another WC on 4FT

then on Sat, as luck would have it ( n as per Zooms predictions ) the base went floating
BIG BIG mess all over, so decided to clean 4FT Tank out completly and REDO everything
( community still in the 3FT at that stage and another 2 Tigers died )
By Sunday added brand new Water to 4FT ( with Saechem Prime ), cleaned, rescaped ( minus base and all other ADD ONS )
Tank is looking Good and parameters are OK, added fishies again Today, holding thumbs ....

Dont think the plants could have a effect unless they had something in or on them that harmed your water...

I heard that the poly from the BG can give toxins off in the water but i have been running my BG for 2 weeks now without loss... unless you need more leeching time on those BG's

Also the Cement leeches quite a bit , and can cause issues..

thanx Guys, ya, think was a combo of it all, new Tank, new BG, LOADS of new Fishies from my Cuz, etc etc ...

Anyway, went home Lunch time and it all looks OK, at least no Deaths, so heres hoping the worst is over ...

BTW Tank now looks nothing like the Original Idea :(

@Luis - they never do :p I find tanks evolve during planning, setup and growing in of the plants.

    Mortein Sprayer in the Kitchen

Hi All, glad to report no more casualties.
Was just reading another thread and came over something intresting ..... so my 4FT is with out a proper canopy at the mo, and i have this Automatic Mortein Spray thing in the Kitchen, could it be that the spray from the kitchen is making it into my water?? ( Tank is in the Lounge, open plan to Kitchen )

could that be the cause of my sudden Deaths? and wouldnt it show on my water quality? would it not affect the parameters?

    what u Guys think??
