What pellets or veg will work or brand?

 

try get some food made specifically for mubuna malawis it has high level of plant matter to prevent bloat.
give him that every few meals should do the job

Thanks man, if i can get him anywhere close to AQUAMOJO'S vieja zonatus then i will be happy. he has even said that my vieja looks really good and i must keep it up.

This is why i love large cichlids, the character the way they play with u and inter act with u is just amazing.
playing hide and seek and when he begs for food lol, just love it.

 

Diet:
Morning and night: mix of jumbo carnisticks (just added), bio gold,staple and gold. (Hikari)
Every second to third day : frozen mix cichlid food or frozen brime shrimp. (ocean nutrition)

 

Hi all
I see my vieja like to swim in to the stream that the internal filter makes, its there more i can do to help him stay active and strong in muscle.
He loves to strike the pellets with full force almost like attacking something LOL.
Any ideas will help, dont get me wrong he is strong and looks great. just like to keep him there in a way.

 

Was away for a week used a auto feeder and it work well, he it still doing great and going strong.

 

What auto feeder did you use?

Have some news my vieja has a new home at the PTA ZOO AQUARIUM, I will do the tank over and restart with 10xcichlids (4-6cm+-) and work my way down.

will add pictures once it is up and running...

 

Must be sad to let go of that fish?
What fish do you want to keep?
