    Sooo,

Bristle nose plecos bred, and the male threw out the eggs.

I put them in a net and hung them next to a sponge filter.

    They got fungus on them.

So as a last attempt I moved them to a tub filled with 100s of cherry shrimp.

They ate the infertile eggs and left the others alone, only cleaning them.

    And the eggs hatched.

Last night I saw them all on the sides of the tub, and today, theres only one.

No clue what happened to them, but atleast I know it worked, to an extent.

Might do it again if I ever run in to this issue, and maybe remove the babies or the shrimp once they hatched.

    Sooooo……

I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place

As I’ve stated above that I’ll be shutting down all my systems(also on other forums&groups). I’ve received a TON of messages from people that I shouldn’t do it and keep doing what I’m doing.

Now, I don’t know what to do anymore…

Me being so indecisive doesn’t help either.

On a positive note, getting some really cool fish I’ll be sharing with you guys later today when they arrive, nothing special but I’ve been waiting for months and they are finally on their way, I’m suuuuper stoked and can’t wait to share

    Soooo update

Working on a rescape on the tank, still trying to figure out exactly how I want it as it has to be scaped to be viewed from 2 sides.

Being a little indecisive as it has changed 3 times since taking the after pics, not massively, just small changes but I need to fine tune it a little, as I feel some of the rocks are taking away instead of adding.

Buuuut like I said, still a work in progress haha.

AAAAAAAAND then on to the exciting news, got myself a pair of Tiger Badis, suuuper stoked about these little guys, they are absolutely TINY.

Not the best pics, but the tub they are in distorts the picture and my phone finds it hard to focus on them.

Will take better pics once they have settled in the tank.

Next up is probably Co2 for this tank, either that or more plants.

The tank scape is much easier to see in the video than in the pics.
    I think it looks great.
The little tiger badis are beautiful.

Indeed it is, photos don’t really show the depth and all the angles unless you post a bunch of them.

I still want to fill up the back of the logs with a substrate and plant some Vallis in there along the 2 sides and maybe get something to cover most of the floor space, thinking of S.Subulata or a mini crypt, I wanted to do a mini buce that grows along the substrate as a carpet, but they take AGES to grow and I don’t feel like waiting 2+ years for a carpet to grow in haha.

    Soo something I find interesting.

According to all “care sheets” on tiger badis, or most of the badis in this case, they state that they need a tank with calm/slow moving water.

Now in my case, I have a 1500lph filter blasting water in the tank, I have also placed it in a way that it circulates the water and I have scaped the tank so that there are calm/dead spots in the tank for them.

Now to get to the point,

They spend more time in the high flow current instead of the dead/calm water in the tank. Swimming up and down along the main outlet of the pump.

Just found it interesting and thought I’d post it here.

    Short update but exciting.

Tiger baddis started spawning in between the logs.

Hoping to see some fry if the snails don’t get to the eggs first

Aaaand, ive got some wrigglers from my Baddis that spawned

    Suuuper happy about that

Or well, I’ve only been able to see one, but if there’s one, there should be more, or so I hope haha.

Apologies for the bad photo, have to take a pic length wise through my whole tank to get an angle on where he is sitting, also gotta zoom quite far.
