Babies can’t live in fresh water, so need to move the babies to salt water until they turn into shrimp then they need to go back to fresh water cause they can’t live in salt water.

Easiest and quickest way I can explain

Deffos not easy, but worth it at the end of the day if you put in the time.

So they seem to be all moved to the salt water, can’t see any more of them in the tank.

This setup is indoors to reduce fluctuations in temperature, room is heated and the tub also has a 500W heater in, also got a thermostat on the other end of the tub to ensure the temp is good. Also got a sponge filter to circulate the water.

Lid also just has a slit cut in to it, basically just for the light to be able to disperse some heat.

Little buggers are close to impossible to see. Or in my case atleast sucked them up using an airline tubing.

Soo I have give or take 150 babies, female still has some eggs on her, so she’ll still be popping a little more hopefully.

The ones I have added last night seem to be feeding as they turned a brown color “might be mistaken on this”, I have dosed the tank twice with green and brown phytoplankton since starting it up.

Plus the brown ones seem to be larger in size than the ones I have added early this morning. But might be my brain playing tricks on me

Amano shrimp are growing nicely, they look like 3 dots now and not these tiny invisible things anymore

Messed up a little and made my salinity drop from 35 to 32 after adding too much fresh water, seems like I lost a couple but not 100% sure. They are still really hard to spot, especially in the amount of water they are in.

Counted around 50 or so still going strong.

Im hoping so too. The wait is killing me tho, still got a couple of weeks.

Hoping I can keep the parameters stable for that long as I am not running a filter, and really don’t want to do a water change on them.
