    Update:Tank rescape

This scape went a bit weird after the last pictures were posted. For some(as yet unexplained) reason the plants started to melt.
That means the P.helferi is gone, the R.wallichi is gone, the java fern is gone.Only the C.willisii survived and some H.C.

But I did need a valid excuse to redo the tank.So I'll stick to this one....."the micro habitat inexplicably collapsed and plant life started to die off."
    New pictures on the way.

    - lol, that is the best explanation I have ever heard for somebody to motivate to redo a tank with dome ADA soil (I am being a bit presumptuous).

Seriously I also managed to kill some java ferm et al. - not clue how or what.

Excellent more pics - 2012 - the year of the pic !!!

Tank filled. The water was quite clear after filling up but not crystal. All the plants stayed put after filling and the substrate kept the slope well enough.I have added a mature Aqua Clear HOB filter and this should speed up the cycling of the substrate.I'll test for ammonia non the less.
Also have some Purigen in the filter to clear the tannins from the wood.
    Co2 is running.
Lights are on for 8 hours.
    No heater.
Picture is a bit fuzzy because I left the Co2 on.......tiny bubbles,so devine.....

Looking good and full of potential bud, especially the pedigree of the glosso...

I like the unconventional idea of putting the bigger log piece in front of the smaller, creating a clever illusion of depth .. or am I barking up the wrong log here, lol ?

The glosso is spreading steadily and E.tenellus is showing new shoots.

I never updated this thread as often as I wanted to but such is life.
This will be the final photos of this scape and maybe this tank as well.I'm planning to get a 60 cm and to retire this tank for now.
I never added any live stock to this tank and not even a heater.
I've never named any of my scapes and this will be a first for me then.I'll call it "Star Burst".

Nice @Rudi... Very "clean" scape, might I ask what's the plant in the middle?
