Quick update, All is doing well. Very impressed with the HMF and is doing its job well. Have 12 fish in the 30L with the shrimp and is really healthy
    3 Galaxy's, 3 Spotted Blue Eye Rainbow, 4 Red rasbora and 2 auto's. I am upgrading to a 50L with ADA soil only, aqua-clear 50 and a zet light
How long does the ADA soil last?

    Nice little setup!

Just a note, HM will require quite a bit more maintenance as a carpet plant vs some of the other carpet plants like HC or Monte Carlo. HM is better as a mid-ground plant rather than foreground. If you're looking for carpet plants to fill out your scape quicker send me a PM. I have an emersed collection of all sorts of plants and I have a couple carpet options. I sell off the excess when ever I have, so I could ship you patches of carpet that you just need to plant.

I buy from a local guy that has some stock from time to time, you wouldn't find it in the shop as it is illegal to sell them commercially or otherwise, but you are allowed to keep what you have and/or "share"... :blink1:

Thank you this was just a starter. I have a 50L tank that is breaking in that I am moving them to with some dragon rock etc.. Ok HC I presume is (Hemianthus Callitrichoides ) witch I think is the same I have in the fore ground not sure what HM is, but none the less I would love to see what you have available and will send PM. This was one of my inspirations that I saw on the net. It is not one of those "professional" scaping jobs that you see more and more on the net but it is different somehow. pic to follow....[IMG]

Little update, I have managed to combine the better of 3 shrimp tanks in to one setup and planted a few new plants and added some more fish. This time only used aqua soil and added some dragon rock. Filtration is upgraded to a aqua clear 50 with a pre-filter and a zet light 1200. Not dosing at the moment also no co2, was wondering if i should dose? excel, flourish? maybe some advice. Carpet in the front is struggling to take.
